<p>Do you enjoy Classical or Traditional music but can&#8217;t find a group that focuses on these genres?</p>
<p>Maybe you&#8217;d like to work on improving your technicalskills but prefer not to take private lessons?</p>
<p><em>The Monaro Flute Ensemble</em> was designed specifically to fill in these gaps. We want everyone to enjoy the opportunity to play and learn about music in an encouraging group environment. We proudly specialize in reviving Classical music. Most of all, we want to give people the chance to develop a lasting love for music at the sametime as developing techniques to make expression through music easier.</p>
<p>This ensemble is a group of flute players of diverse ages and skill levels who all share an enthusiasm for making music and sharing what they learn with others.</p>
<p>For more details please call <strong>Matthew Ventura</strong> on 6452 5262 or email: sonataform@hotmail.com.</p>

<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">Robert Shearer and Snowy Monaro Arts Council will present Handel’s Messiah, with –</span></p>
<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">Conductor Rodney Clancy;</span></p>
<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">Soprano Elizabeth Shearer;</span></p>
<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">Mezzo Soprano Bronwyn Douglas;</span></p>

<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">Bass Joshua Burke;</span></p>
<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">And a Chamber Orchestra of local musicians.</span></p>
<p lang="en-US">&nbsp;</p>
<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">But the best bit is that you get to be the chorus&#8230;</span></p>
<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">Ever wanted to sing Hallelujah Chorus? Well, here’s your chance. </span></p>
<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">We are hoping for lots of voices from Cooma-Monaro and Snowy River Shires. Blokes are especially welcome.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">The main workshop/rehearsal will be from 9 am on Saturday 12th November with the public <strong>performance at 7.00 pm</strong> on that night.  There will also be additional practices (not compulsory) in each of the weeks leading up to the event (the weeks commencing Monday 31st October 2011 and Monday 7th November 2011) for those who would like to &#8220;notebash&#8221; their parts. (call 6452 6067 for details of extra rehearsals).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">The &#8220;Sing your Own&#8221; portion of the workshop and performance will consist of  just six pieces:</span></p>
<ol>
<li><span style="font-size: medium;">And the Glory of the Lord</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: medium;">Oh Thou That Tellest</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: medium;">For Unto Us a Child is Born</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: medium;">Glory to God in the Highest</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: medium;">All We Like Sheep</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: medium;">Hallelujah</span></li>
</ol>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">There are three ways to get the parts.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>The first </strong></span><span style="font-size: medium;">is to go to </span><a href="http://www.free-scores.com/download-sheet-music.php?pdf=20064"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">http://www.free-scores.com/download-sheet-music.php?pdf=20064</span></span></span></a><span style="font-size: medium;">.</span></p>
<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">Scroll down and on the middle of the page you will see pdf symbols for the various parts.</span></p>
<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">Click on “vocal”, and download the choruses at 1.4, 1.10, 1.13, 1.19, 2.4 and 2.22, and the Amen (3.10).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">If you do that, send your email to </span><a href="mailto:chris@coomalaw.com.au"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">chris@coomalaw.com.au</span></span></span></a><span style="font-size: medium;"> so we have an email with which to keep you informed.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>The second way </strong></span><span style="font-size: medium;">is to send an email to </span><a href="mailto:allan@coomamusic.com.au"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">allan@coomamusic.com.au</span></span></span></a><span style="font-size: medium;">, and Allan will email the part to you.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Please c.c. to </span><a href="mailto:chris@coomalaw.com.au"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">chris@coomalaw.com.au</span></span></span></a><span style="font-size: medium;">, so we have your email to keep you informed.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>The third way </strong>is to contact Chris Wall at 7 Dawson Street, Cooma NSW 2630 and request us to photocopy the parts for you.</span></p>
<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">Obviously, the first method is a lot less work for the organisers, so please do that if you can.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">There are rehearsal tracks available on the net, one at </span><a href="http://www.ultimate.com/ccc/messiah/"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">http://www.ultimate.com/ccc/messiah/</span></span></span></a><span style="font-size: medium;">.</span></p>
<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">In preparation, you can sing along with your computer.</span></p>
<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">The tracks on that site are 04 “And the Glory of the Lord” (1.4 free-scores), 09 “Oh Thou That Tellest” (1.10 free-scores), 12 “For Unto Us a Child is Born” (1.13 free-scores), 17 “Glory to God in the Highest” (1.19 free-scores), 26 “All We Like Sheep” (2.4 free-scores), 44 “Hallelujah” (2.22 free-scores).</span></p>
<p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size: medium;">So give it a shake.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Follow the above instructions and register, and send this email onto anyone you think might be interested, and set Saturday 12th November 2011 aside. </span></p>
