Bradley Kunda started playing the guitar at the age of six. Born and raised in Adelaide, he studied flamenco guitar for four years before furthering his classical studies with Hungarian-born guitarist András Tüské. In 2005, Bradley won the coveted National Undergraduate Scholarship at the Australian National University, where he completed a bachelor degree in music with first class honours under the notable Australian guitarist Tim Kain, while also studying for a bachelor degree in law. Bradley is currently a PhD candidate in guitar performance at the Australian National University. He is also preparing to complete specialist studies in early-19th century guitar performance practice at the Accademia l’Ottocento (Italy), studying under Carlo Barone.

Bradley has won first prize in the Fifth International Competition “Festival de Córdoba” (Spain), and the audience prize in the Nikšić International Guitar Competition (Montenegro), determined by voters on live satellite television. He was awarded the 2007 Erika Haas Award for the most outstanding instrumental performance student at the Australian National University. He is currently the recipient of an Australian Professional Award.

Bradley is actively engaged in bringing a diverse and accessible range of chamber music to new audiences. As a member of the BREW Guitar Duo and contemporary music septet dominantSEVEN, he has commissioned significant new works by Australian composers including Robert Davidson and Richard Charlton. As a soloist and chamber musician, his performances have included concerts at the Córdoba International Guitar Festival (Spain), the Project Canción Española (Spain), the Nikšić International Guitar Festival (Montenegro), the Canberra International Chamber Music Festival and the Darwin International Guitar Festival (Australia). In 2009, Bradley joined Australia’s leading guitar quartet, Guitar Trek, which has pioneered new repertoire for the guitar family for over two decades under the leadership of Tim Kain. Bradley also enjoys collaborative projects with clarinettist Nicole Canham and soprano Rebecca MacCallion.

As a composer, Bradley has been featured in ABC Classic FM’s Young Australian Composers series celebrating “Australian Music Month.” His guitar works are regularly played on ABC Classic FM, and have been finalist entries in the 3rd International Australian Guitar Composition Competition, and the ASME Young Composers’ Awards. In 2011, Bradley won the Canberra Classical Guitar Society Composition Competition, which awards him a commission to compose a new work for guitar orchestra. In addition to writing guitar music, Bradley’s work for carillon will soon be published in an upcoming volume of Australian carillon music. Bradley’s choral works have also been performed by the choir of the Wesley Uniting Church in Forrest, Canberra.

Bradley is on staff in the Guitar Department at the Australian National University School of Music, where he has also tutored and lectured in various undergraduate musicology subjects.

Do you enjoy Classical or Traditional music but can’t find a group that focuses on these genres?

Maybe you’d like to work on improving your technicalskills but prefer not to take private lessons?

We proudly specialize in reviving Classical music. Most of all, we want to give people the chance to develop a lasting love for music at the sametime as developing techniques to make expression through music easier.

This ensemble is a group of flute players of diverse ages and skill levels who all share an enthusiasm for making music and sharing what they learn with others.

Ladies (option 1 & 2)

Iolanthe. She is; and thus she welcomes her daughter-in-law! (Kisses her.)
Phyllis. She kisses just like other people! But the Lord Chancellor?
Strephon. I forgot him! Mother, none can resist your fairy eloquence; you will go to him and plead for us?
Iolanthe. (much agitated). No, no; impossible!
Strephon. But our happiness – our very lives – depend upon our obtaining his consent!
Phyllis. Oh, madam, you cannot refuse to do this!
Iolanthe. You know not what you ask! The Lord Chancellor is – my husband!
Strephon and Phyllis. Your husband!
Iolanthe. My husband and your father!

Ladies (option 3) Mens (option1)
Ko-Ko. Indeed! Had he any reason to be dissatisfied with his position?
Katisha. None whatever. On the contrary, I was going to marry him — yet he fled
Pooh-Bah. I am surprised that he should have fled from one so lovely!
Katisha. That’s not true.
Pooh-Bah. No!
Katisha. You hold that I am not beautiful because my face is plain. But you know nothing; you are still unenlightened. Learn, then, that it is not in the face alone that beauty is to be sought. My face is unattractive!
Pooh-Bah. It is.
Katisha. But I have a left shoulder-blade that is a miracle of loveliness. People come miles to see it. My right elbow has a fascination that few can resist.
Pooh-Bah. Allow me!
Katisha. It is on view Tuesdays and Fridays, on presentation of visiting card. As for my circulation, it is the largest in the world.
Ko-Ko. And yet he fled!

Mens (option 2)
Mikado. (looking at paper) Dear, dear, dear! this is very tiresome. (to Ko-Ko) My poor fellow, in your anxiety to carry out my wishes you have beheaded the heir to the throne of Japan!
Ko-Ko. I beg to offer an unqualified apology.
I desire to associate myself with that expression of regret.
We really hadn’t the least notion —
Mikado. Of course you hadn’t. How could you? Come, come, my good fellow, don’t distress yourself — it was no fault of yours. If a man of exalted rank chooses to disguise himself as a Second Trombone, he must take the consequences. It really distresses me to see you take on so. I’ve no doubt he thoroughly deserved all he got. (They rise.)

Mens (option 3)
Sir Joseph. Madam, it has been represented to me that you are appalled by my exalted rank. I desire to convey to you officially my assurance, that if your hesitation is attributable to that circumstance, it is uncalled for.
Josephine. Oh! then your lordship is of opinion that married happiness is not inconsistent with discrepancy in rank?
Sir Joseph. I am officially of that opinion.
Josephine. That the high and the lowly may be truly happy together, provided that they truly love one another?
Sir Joseph. Madam, I desire to convey to you officially my opinion that love is a platform upon which all ranks meet.
Josephine. I thank you, Sir Joseph. I did hesitate, but I will hesitate no longer. (aside) He little thinks how eloquently he has pleaded his rival’s cause!
