  1. Hi! Could I ask a couple of questions about the essex tenor banjo?
    Is this a new banjo?
    The standard tuning on this banjo is the same as the violin and mandolin. Is this correct?
    Do you ship to Qld and if so what would the cost be for shipping to Qld 4740?

  2. Hi Dales,
    The tenor banjo is tuned in perfect fifths just like the violin and mandolin. However the lowest string is C (below middle C) so you’d have C G D A as the 4th, 3rd, 2nd & 1st strings. The lowest string (4th) on the violin & mandolin is G.
    Yes the Essex Tenor Banjo is new for $299. They are in stock. We can ship to Qld. The courier will need a daytime business address for delivery-not residential. (can be your work, friendly neighbourhood newsgent’s or chemists-ask them first) Freight would be $15.
