I have had a maton guitar for about 15 years and I love it, mine is a similar finish to the one reviewed but is not cutaway and is just acoustic, bit it has a great feel to it, and the sound is awesome, a really rich tone, you can tell the guitar is made by skilled craftsmen, and as soon as I picked it up in the shop I knew it was the right guitar for me, it feels comfortable to hold,and playing it is such a joy

  2. Yes the Matons are handmade in Melbourne (since 1946).
    The tone of your guitar will improve as it ages.
