ANBC 2014 Sponsorship prospectus

This year’s Australian National Busking Championships™ (ANBC) is a one day event that features buskers performing throughout the Cooma CBD and wrapping up with the Finals Concert in Centennial Park at 5pm on Saturday 1st November.

This year Cooma Rotary Club has taken on Australian National Busking Championships™ as one of their special projects.Rotary 2014Official Logo MoE_RGB This is a wonderful development for the ANBC because:

  • This “grass-roots”community based event now has official not-for-profit status openning up opportunities for grants.
  • The Cooma Rotary Club can provide “boots on the ground” in the form of volunteers on and before the event.
  • The ANBC can now be promoted through the Rotary Club’s national network and indeed, international networks.

ABC TVThe ABC has taken a special interest in this year’s ANBC. Ginny Stein from the  popular ABC TV program abc southeast“Landline” will be covering the event. Ian Champbell from ABC Southeast Radio has joined us as a media partner and will be doing a live radio broadcast on the day. Peter Crane from Bon Productions is also coming down from Queensland to produce a multi media documentary of the Australian National Busking Championships for our online presence and for TV and radio.

Facebook-Like modern smaller 2We are constantly promoting the ANBC online with daily posts on Facebook and www.coomamusic.com.au. This week we have reached over 7,000 facebook users. We are also working on a new dedicated website for the Australian National Busking Championships

A Worthwhile Community Event:

From it’s first year the Australian National Busking Championships™ has helped local not-for-profit groups raise money through fund raising activities on the day. Organisations such as the Cooma District Hospital, Cooma Rotary Club, Cooma Railway, 2MNO Community Radio, Cooma Swimming Club, St Patrick’s Parish School, to name a few, have raised thousands of dollars through this event. In fact, the main reason why the Australian National Busking Championships™ came into existance was through the wonderful work of the “Snowy Ride”. The ANBC was orginally conceived to provide entertainmesteven walter children's cancer foundationnt and fun for the 4,000 or so Snowy Riders as they pass through Cooma. Since it’s beginnings in 2001, this annual motorcycle event has raised over $5 million towards childhood cancer research. The Snowy Ride is organized by the Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation. So we, at the Australian National Busking Championships are pleased to support the Snowy Ride. For more information about the Snowy Ride go to:https://www.snowyride.org.au/

The Australian National Busking Championships™ has the unique ability to provide significant benefits to the performers, the venue hosts, local businesses, community organisations and the general public. We hope you can join us in providing this wonderful event for our town. Celebrate with us,  Australia’s rich and diverse music street culture!
