As part of a huge weekend of music and fun, cialis 40mg the organisers of the Australian National Busking Championshipsâ„¢ have planned three major music events for Friday 31st October, more about the night before the Championships. They are: Night of Champions at the Alpine Hotel, asthma Buskers at the Cooma Hotel, and Buskers Open Mic at Two Vaults.
 Night of Champions
The Alpine Hotel Cooma, 170 Sharp Street, will be presenting “Night of Championsâ€, featuring winners of last year’s Australian National Busking Championshipsâ„¢. The Alpine Hotel will rock to the sounds of Guyy Lilleyman, Vendulka and Roger McCulloch. The Alpine is the major sponsor of last year’s, and this year’s Australian National Busking Championshipsâ„¢.
Guyy Lilleyman was last year’s Open Champion and has just returned from an extensive tour of South Africa, with violinist Amelia Gibson. Guyy and Amelia, or “Guyy and the Foxâ€, their stage name, played to packed audiences in South Africa in venues throughout the country, including huge audiences at the annual White Mountain Acoustic Festival in Central Drakensberg.
Vendulka, (aka Vendulka Wichta) is of course, Cooma’s very own X Factor girl. Vendulka has won the secondary section Australian National Busking Championshipsâ„¢ two years running. Also taking out the People’s Choice award! Still just in year 11, Vendulka’s music career is taking off. She is in constant demand as a headline performer at music festivals all around Australia and her EP “Reckless†went to Number One on iTunes.
Roger McCulloch won the Judges Award at last year’s Championships. Roger is a local music legend. He is the front man for the popular local band, the Barstars, and is a prolific song writer, singer and guitarist.
After the months of last year’s renovations, this year the Cooma Hotel has gotten right behind the Australian National Busking Championshipsâ„¢. The Cooma Hotel, on the corner of Massie and Vale Streets, looks fantastic after its“Grand Designs†adventure! They will be featuring the talents of Brodie Buttons and the Button Collective on that Friday night. Brodie Buttons (aka Brodie Nossiter) will be competing at this year’s Championships with his folk band, The Button Collective. Brodie is a born and bred Cooma boy. After studying music at the Southern Cross University, Lismore, Brodie and his band have forged quite a name for themselves in the music scene. They play regularly in folk music pubs around Sydney such as “The Rock’s Brewing Company†and “Goodgod in Liverpool Street†as well as travelling around and performing at many music festivals such as the National Folk Festival Canberra, Ballina Coastal Country Music Festival and Kiama Folk by The Sea.
Buskers Open Mic at the Two Vaults Café and Restaurant.
The Two Vaults Café and Restaurant, 161 Sharp Street, is a relatively new arrival on the Cooma music scene. They have been offering an open mic night every Thursday for the past couple of months. They call it Thursday Night Music Club and it’s been tremendously fun and successful, with lots of keen local musicians trying out their skills on an appreciative audience. Part of its success is the regularity of these nights – it’s always on a Thursday from 7.30 to 9.30pm. The owners weren’t keen to move the open mic to the “Busking Friday,†so they decided to just have an extra music night that week on the Friday and call it “Buskers Open Mic.†This venue will be a wonderful chance for buskers to meet, greet and jam together before the big day.
