The Sax Summit, discount rx is giving a Woodwind Workshop in Cooma on Friday 11 February for the Cooma School of Music.

The workshop will be held at St Paul’s Anglican Church Hall. (Commisioner Street, store Cooma)
The workshop will be  flexible in nature with the workshop being conducted by the 5 members of the group. The structure of the afternoon will depend mostly on numbers and skill levels of the students. However, the overall program for the workshop would be something like this:

3.30-4.00- Everyone will play a small tune to break the ice then open the floor to any students/ensembles that want to perform in an open masterclass setting. This might be good for older students or some of the really keen kids who want to play for of everyone.

4.00- 5.15- Break into smaller groups to workshop a piece. This can be done on an instrument basis or on a skill level basis depending on numbers.

5.30- 6.00- Performances of the ‘workshopped’ piece then open question time and  close with everyone  playing another tune together.
