Australian National Busking Championships 2019 – Cooma Regional & National Grand Final

The Australian National Busking Championships™ is an Australia-wide network of busking festivals. The ANBC celebrates the rich diversity of Australian Music & Street Performance Culture.

Cooma NSW 2019:

On Saturday 16 November, ANBC Inc. will be conducting the 2019 Cooma Regional Busking Championships & the ANBC National Grand Final. This will be the culmination of the Australian National Busking Championships™ for 2019.

The Cooma Regional Busking Championships will be open to all. However, competitors who wish to to be the the ANBC National Grand Final will have to earn a place by either the high standard of their performances on the day in Cooma or by qualifying by winning First Place in an Age Category in the other Regional Busking Championships that have been held around Australia during 2019.

The Prizes – Thousands of Dollars in Cash on offer:

There are generous prizes for 3 Age Categories, Open (Adult), Secondary (High School Age) and Primary (Primary School Age). Plus lots of other awards such as: Peoples Choice Award, Best Band, Country Music, Blues Music, Jazz Music, Classical Music, Folk, Indigenous, Community Based Music, Youth Encouragement, Most Innovative, and Ability Award (for buskers with a disability). Solos, Duos, Groups*, Ensembles*, Choirs* are all welcome. There has even been a prize for non-musical Street Performance such as poets, mime, jugglers, magicians and dancers.

Peak Hill NSW will be hosting the Peak Hill Regional Championships – Australian National Busking Championships™ on Saturday 14 September 2019.

The Australian National Busking Championships™ is an Australia-wide network of busking festivals. The ANBC celebrates the rich diversity of Australian Music & Street Performance Culture. Through out the year, Regional Championships will be held in towns all over Australia culminating in the National Grand Final which is held in Cooma NSW on the 16 November 2019.

Calling All Buskers:

Thousands of dollars in cash prizes will be up for grabs at ANBC Peak Hill Regional Busking Championships. Peak Hill is one of the regional towns that have joined the ever-growing network of ANBC busking competitions around Australia. Dates for 2019 so far are:

  • Stanthorpe Qld – 23 March
  • Kilmore Vic – 13 April
  • Narooma NSW – 25 May
  • Noosa Heads Qld – 8 to 9 June
  • Peak Hill NSW -14 September
  • Victor Harbor SA – 6 October
  • Gundagai NSW – 26 October
  • Cooma Regional Championship & ANBC National Grand Final – Cooma NSW – 16 November (please note change of date)
