Around The World – Saturday 22 June 2013 at 7pm

A Concert Presented by The Snowy Mountains Ensemble

With music from six continents and many different cultures.

From Latin American to Japanese traditional music, here there is something for everyone!

  • When: Saturday 22 June 2013 at 7pm
  • Where: St Paul’s Anglican Church Hall, 136 Commissioner Street
  • Cost: $5 Kids / $15 Concessions / $20 Adults

The theme of this concert is ‘Around the World’, and a variety of music from all over the globe will be presented. We have compiled a very exciting collection of pieces ranging from Japanese folk songs and Russian nationalistic tunes to Scottish Dances and music inspired by Africa.

Following the concert there will be a multicultural supper to continue with the international theme. We think this will be a great way to continue enjoying music together and celebrate in our harmony through diversity.

As usual we plan to recruit the skills of several very fine professional musicians to enhance the quality of our performance, and also to give our amateur players the awesome opportunity to be inspired by playing alongside a pro. You can help support this community education program by coming along to watch the concert on the 22nd of June and bringing along your friends and family to this one-off celebration of music and multiculturalism!
